Hervey Bay

Nous avons eu une journée relaxante à Hervey Bay. Nous avons marché plus de 5 km sur la plage, la marée commençait à monter. Certaines personnes ont tracés des dragons dans le sable, d’autres ont fait une torture et une pieuvre en 3 dimensions. De l’art de plein air agréable à regarder. Ensuite, nous nous sommes dirigés vers les Jardins Botaniques. Il faisait beau et environ 20 degrés, ce qui est parfait pour se promener.

Ce soir, nous sommes retournés au même restaurant qu’hier, le Paolo’s Pizza Bar. Hier nous avons partagé une pizza, ce soir j’ai pris les pâtes à la carbonara et John a pris les gnocchis. Nous avons aussi pris un chocolat chaud italien. Très chocolaté et onctueux! Un vrai délice. Tout est bon, repas, service et musique. Nous avons décidé d’y retourner car demain le resto est fermé. Nous trouverons autre chose demain!

Today was a relaxing day, starting with a late wake-up and breakfast. We wandered down the beach a ways, turned around, and then wandered back up the beach. It was a beautiful day, with not a single cloud in the sky, just half a moon right above the beach. We then walked over to the local botanical gardens. Not as nice as the ones in Rockhampton, but that may change depending on the season. There was a wedding going on in the main clearing while we were there.

We went to the same place for dinner as last night – Paolo’s Pizza Bar. It’s an Italian place with a Citroen 2CV out front owned by (I believe) a couple from Naples. Delicious pizza and just as good pasta and gnocchi.

It is kind of nice to just relax for a bit after all the travelling.
