Today was a reasonably quiet day here for us. We visited the Palazzo Ducale, or Doge’s Palace. This was the offices of the defacto government of Venice throughout most of its history, even if the government system was never codified formally. The visit takes you through the various government chambers as well as the prisons next door.
After the palace we did a bit of window and non-window shopping, and then relaxed at the apartment for a bit. Today was the last day as the full group, so we enjoyed dinner together and, more importantly, our last gelato together.
